Role Summary
Conducted an analysis of multipoint failure modes for field deployed wireless medical equipment. Developed log analysis tools using Linux scripting and python to identify anomalies in device performance. Used working knowledge of electrical testing equipment such as oscilloscopes, DMMs, energy dispersive spectroscopy, optical microscopy, and CT X-ray scanning, as well as device and circuit board level troubleshooting for root cause failure analysis investigations of failed electronic devices utilizing circuit schematics and layouts.
Project
For the duration of my contract, it was my secondary task amongst other things to produce a dashboard to help with device analytics. It was acheived using a combination of python and linux bash scripting. It enabled the batch decoding of log files and ease of analysis no longer relying on the engineer interpreting a wall of recorded plain text.
