Project Summary
Constructed a custom large format CoreXY 3D printer from scratch. Used the Manta MP8 Board with CM4 bootloaded with Klipper and mainsail.
Power Design
Since this printer was intended to run for extended periods of time indoors, extra consideration was put into robust power design that would account for component failure modes which would compromise safety.
Performance Optimization
Mechanical resonance testing performed in order to eliminate resonance during high speed printing. Tempurature control PID tuned in order to ensure rapid heating.
